<font color="#333333" size="2">광주 동구 서석로에 위치한 푸른새마을금고(이사장 김동찬)는 지난 20일 임직원들과 함께 다문화 대안학교인 광주새날학교를 방문 후원금을 전달하고 자원봉사활동을 펼쳤다. <br /><br />이날 봉사활동에 참여한 20여명의 직원들은 등나무손질과 학교 내 잡초를 제거하고 잔디를 깍는 등 다양한 봉사활동을 통해 청결한 학교를 가꾸는데 구슬땀을 흘렸다.<br /><br />또 김동찬 이사장을 비롯한 전 직원들이 동참해 정성껏 마음을 모은 성금도 전달하며 학교 발전을 기원했다.<br /></font>

<br />푸른새마을금고는 지난 2009년 새날학교가 미인가학교로 어려움에 처해 있다는 소식을 듣자 자매결연을 맺고 매년 급식비 지원, 도서비지원, 그리고 전직원이 참여하는 봉사활동을 펼치는 등 다양한 지원사업을 펼쳐 오늘날의 새날학교로 발전하는데 크게 기여한 바 있다.<br /><br />&nbsp;김경원 기자
